Open Assessment Technologies is growing and we are looking for a disciplined and hands-on QA Automation Engineer who will contribute significantly to our automation efforts while supporting and improving our existing framework.

This role is not limited to writing automated tests. It requires strong debugging skills, a good QA mindset, and the ability to work on a rapidly-changing product.

The ideal candidate is comfortable working in a real-world environment where stability, CI/CD reliability, and release support are critical.

Key Responsibilities
\n
Automation Contribution & Framework Improvement
\n
- Contribute to the maintenance and improvement of the existing automation framework.
- Ensure scalability, readability, and maintainability of automated tests.
- Proactively identify and reduce flaky tests.
- Implement automated tests for web applications and APIs.
- Prioritize high-value regression scenarios.
Debugging & Stability Ownership\n
- Work on GitHub Action integration.
- Contribute to test execution optimization (parallelization, runtime reduction).
- Troubleshoot failing tests.
- Support release rollout testing in coordination with DevOps.
Collaboration & Communication\n
- Work closely with Manual QA and Developers.
- Manage and report defects using Jira.
- Produce test execution reports.
- Communicate risks and blockers clearly.
Required Skills & Experience\n
- 5+ years of experience in QA Automation.
- Strong hands-on experience with modern automation frameworks (Cypress preferred, Playwright or equivalent acceptable).
- Solid understanding of browser execution model and asynchronous behavior.
- Proven experience debugging flaky tests.
- Hands-on CI/CD experience (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or equivalent).
- Experience testing APIs (Postman or equivalent tools).
- Experience working with cloud-based systems (AWS and/or GCP).
- Experience with Elastic Search is a plus.
