Operations Excellence Specialist

Job Summary:
The Operations Excellence Specialist is responsible for driving continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Six Sigma. This role involves planning, scheduling, and implementing continuous improvement activities such as Kaizen in our operations. The person will support data analysis and reporting to facilitate these initiatives. The reports generated will be critical for decision-making.
The ideal candidate will have advanced Excel skills, PowerBI, ITIL methodology, Kaizen/LEAN tools, an analytical mindset, great attention to detail, and comfort dealing with ambiguity.
Primary responsibilities include:
1. Identifying opportunities for process improvement, waste removal, and cost reduction.
2. Planning, facilitating, and executing continuous improvement events using Lean Six Sigma tools.
3. Teaching, leading, and coaching cross-functional teams on Lean Six Sigma tools and ITIL methodology.
4. Collaborating across functions to improve processes in operations and transactional activities.
5. Working effectively in a matrixed organization and fostering a team approach.
6. Motivating positive change and facilitating employee engagement.
7. Communicating effectively with all levels of employees and stakeholders.
8. Using data mining to identify patterns or trends for improvements.
9. Publishing monthly and ad-hoc reports for management.
10. Applying data visualization and summarization techniques.
11. Ensuring data integrity and data management systems are maintained.
12. Developing visual and graphical reports analysis.
About the ideal candidate:
1. Bachelor's degree in IT, Mathematics, MIS, Statistics, Business Administration, or equivalent experience.
2. 3-5+ years of experience with Kaizen, Lean methodology, and analytical reporting.
3. Experience in driving process improvement projects and standardization.
4. Knowledge of ServiceNow, PowerBI, Advanced Excel, Tableau or similar tools.
5. Intermediate knowledge of application coding and development lifecycle.
6. Strong analytical skills, understanding business objectives, customer needs, and data analysis.
7. Willingness to develop new technical skills, including AI & Big Data techniques.
8. Ability to adapt to shifting priorities and rapid change.
9. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
10. Attention to detail and high accuracy.
11. Knowledge of statistical methodologies and data analysis techniques.
12. Knowledge of ITIL and Lean/Kaizen methodologies.
13. Lean Six Sigma certification is a plus.
14. Willing to work in a hybrid setup in BGC Taguig, with flexibility for shifts.
