Electrical Engineer – Biogas Plant Projects

About the Role
We are looking for a talented Electrical & Instrument & Control Engineer to contribute to the design, installation, and commissioning of biomethane production plants across Spain and Italy. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring the electrical and control systems of our renewable energy facilities are safe, efficient, and compliant with all applicable standards.
Key Responsibilities
Design and review electrical and control systems for biogas plants, including low and medium voltage distribution, control systems, and instrumentation.
Define technical specifications for electrical equipment, instrument and control system and support procurement processes.
Supervise electrical, instruments and control installation works and ensure adherence to engineering standards, project requirements, and safety norms.
Coordinate with civil, mechanical, and process engineering teams as well as external suppliers and contractors.
Perform electrical inspections, participate in FAT/SAT, and support commissioning and start-up phases.
Support the development and continuous improvement of electrical and control engineering procedures, drawings, and documentation.
Requirements
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical, Industrial, or Energy Engineering.
At least 3 years of experience in electrical engineering for industrial or energy sector projects.
Previous experience in biogas, wastewater, or renewable energy plants is a strong asset.
Proficiency in electrical design tools (e.g., EPLAN, AutoCAD Electrical) and load/short-circuit calculation software.
Solid knowledge of power distribution, automation, control systems, and electrical safety.
Fluent in English; Spanish and Italian are a plus.
Willingness to travel across Spain and Italy.
Valid driver’s license.
