Your role and work environment:
We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic Tribe Lead to drive our Cloud & Tech Foundations Tribe Lead, joining our CIO Domain as part of the CIO MT (management team), reporting to the CIO for ING Spain & Portugal.
The responsibility of this tribe consists of Keeping the bank up & running, providing the foundational layer for present and future ING platform by automating core components to standardize services and infrastructures and providing a productive user environment while optimizing customer services and satisfaction.
You will be successfully implementing recovery strategies for project crisis situations where the bank is affected, guaranteeing bank availability and resilience by proactively and reactively managing incidents.
You will be working hand by hand with other Tribe Leads and Architecture Center of Expertise to provide on-prem, private and public cloud infrastructure, as well as the automated foundational layer for present and future Tech Platform.
You will be leading a group of senior IT managers, and you will play a critical role in their development as future ING leaders. You will have to create a culture of collaboration, transparency, responsibility, and excellence, helping other to be successful, staying a step ahead and guiding engineering managers in your team to improve and grow.
Stability, reliability, resource allocation and budget management will be essential word in your vocabulary to ensure ING provides customer with the best banking experience.
Your key responsibilities:
As Cloud & Tech Foundations Tribe Lead you will:
Lead the core functionalities and technology approach to the foundational layer, present and future, including technologies as private and public clouds.
Provide core components automation to standardize services and infrastructures.
Provide a productive user environment to optimize customer services satisfaction.
Foster engineering best practices within the organization, to position ING as a market reference in the technology field.
Ensure bank availability and resilience while reducing tine-to-market with best-in-class processes.
Facilitate the tech change strategy at CIO Domain, ensuring strategic alignment and executional certainty, and facilitate adherence to transformation methodologies to deliver change in the Tribe.
Be responsible for effective collaboration applying our One Agile Way of Working.
Stimulates interaction between and alignment across people, tribes, squads, areas and chapters.
Drives cross-cultural collaboration by creating awareness and understanding, leveraging diversity.
Creates an atmosphere in which everyone feels appreciated and heard, and where everyone enjoys their work.
Provides high-level strategic guidance to the IT Area Leads on development of engineers.
Ensure IT Area Leads and Area Leads have appropriate competencies and skills by continuous improvement of their skills, craftsmanship and the area of expertise.
Oversees overall IT maturity in areas and chapters and drives continuous craftsmanship development.
Ensures consistency in craftsmanship development to maintain a well-balanced engineering workforce.
