About the Role
As a Project Quality Senior Engineer you will establish and implement Project Quality requirements and a Quality Assurance Program for assigned projects. You will report to the Quality Analyst Lead and be located at the Madrid headquarters in San Sebastián de los Reyes with a hybrid work schedule (remote and in-office). This is a full-time role.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee the Product Line project scopes for project development, engineering reviews for Quality aspects, and field and construction site project functions, including related vendor activities
Oversee the Quality Assurance (QA) Program and the processes that support manufacturing development and production activities
Oversee the supplier's implementation of the approved Quality Assurance Program for manufacturing, fabricating, assembling, designing, or constructing activities to ensure the Westinghouse Purchase Order requirements are met by suppliers
Manage implementation of Business Unit quality policies in compliance with customer requirements, codes, and standards
Review engineering requirement documentation to verify compliance with technical QA requirements for design, manufacture, construction, installation and decommissioning of nuclear installations structures, systems and components, and modifications thereof, and for non-nuclear projects
Work directly with customer to integrate Westinghouse plans and procedures with customer requirements
Review requisition materials and supplies as they relate to the customer requirements ensuring that the appropriate level of nuclear safety standards is met and maintained
Recommend and influence operations to take appropriate corrective actions, resolve quality issues and implement performance improvement
Audit, correct, and document potential quality problems
Qualifications
Engineering Bachelor's degree or scientific degree (Mechanical, Physical, Chemical, Mathematics, Electrical, or Nuclear)
5+ years of professional experience in the nuclear industry
Knowledge on reading and interpreting drawing and specifications
Knowledge of nuclear quality standards: UNE 73 series, 10CFR50 App. B, U.S. NRC Regulatory Guide series, ANSI/ASME NQA1, Supplements and Appendices, ISO 9001
Lead Auditor Certification
Fluent in English and Spanish
