Job title: Operations Finance Business PartnerLocation: Avila, SpainRole OverviewThe Operations Finance Business Partner will play a key role in overseeing statutory audits, internal audit requirements, implementing stronger internal controls, and improving financial processes. The role safeguards financial integrity and supports the organisation in meeting regulatory and strategic commitments.Responsibilities- Produce and analyze weekly variance reporting for labour and materials, reporting to Operations and broader business, providing insights into large variances and reviewing any required changes.- Analyse weekly packaging price variance, waste and distribution costs reporting to relevant cost centre holders to ensure cost control measures.- Support Finance Manager in reviewing existing and developing new reporting to add value and enable continuous improvement of Operations Finance support.- Produce and analyze weekly developments on rework generation, consumption and disposal, providing insights and recommendations on corrective actions.- Develop forward‑looking reporting on rework to facilitate tighter working capital control and mitigate risk.- Inventory risk monitoring and management, including NRV stock provision calculation to ensure compliance with group policy.- Partner with Operations to identify areas of continuous improvement and drive improved cost control and efficiencies.- Responsible for delivery of month‑end overheads for all Operations cost centres, monitoring and challenging spend to budget/forecast as needed.- Own the annual budget setting process for operational costs and support the annual budget setting process for capital expenditure.- Own the monthly forecast process for capital expenditure, tracking actuals against plan.- Maintain good working relationships with Commercial teams to understand the impact of commercial plans across Operations.- Support Finance and Operations teams with relevant projects or other ad‑hoc requirements.- Execute any additional tasks related to the role as instructed by the supervisor, including cleaning equipment or other necessary duties in line with organisational policies.Qualifications- Qualified accountant with 3+ years of relevant experience.- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is essential.- Experience partnering with non‑finance functions to influence decision‑making.- High numerical accuracy with strong attention to detail.- Proficient IT and system skills (Advanced Excel & Microsoft Office tools).- Technical/analytical mindset, able to organize and manipulate data.- Enthusiastic team player with a drive to be hands‑on.- Proficient in English.- Additional advantageous skills (not essential):- Experience within the food or manufacturing industry- Power BI experience- Previous experience with M3 or a similar ERP system- Exposure to project workBenefits- Career progression, including global mobility opportunities.- Comprehensive benefits with region‑specific offerings.EEO StatementOrnua values diversity and inclusion and welcomes applications from candidates with diverse backgrounds.
