ERIKALUST leads a global shift — creating a new language for adult cinema centered on ethics, artistry, and cultural impact. We are seeking a PR Lead to amplify this mission across the U.S. and U.K. markets, commanding attention where influence is built and reputations are cemented.
As a PR Lead you will architect ERIKALUST’s public narrative in two of the most critical and competitive arenas. You will lead agency partners, craft strategic media programs, and spearhead thought leadership initiatives that drive subscriber growth, build brand equity, and position Erika Lust at the forefront of cultural innovation.
You will collaborate with the Communications, Content, and Marketing teams, while working closely with the Chief Communications Officer. Your work will open doors, create headlines, and secure Erika Lust’s voice in the highest echelons of media, culture, and industry.
Profile:
* Senior-level experience leading PR strategy for culture-driving brands, preferably across media, entertainment, fashion, tech, wellness, or disruptive industries.
* Deep relationships with tier-one media and influential cultural institutions across the U.S. and U.K.
* Sharp instincts for storytelling, news cycles, brand positioning, and cultural moments.
* Strategic mind, creative flair, and relentless execution.
* Passion for building meaningful movements, not just moments.
* Bachelor's degree in public relations, journalism, communications, English, or business.
* English level: Native.
* Other Languages are a plus
* At least 7 years of experience
1. Media Relations Management
* Mastery of relationship-building with top-tier journalists, editors, and producers.
* Deep understanding of how media cycles work across U.S. and U.K. (especially post-print digital environments).
* Expertise in securing features, op-eds, podcast placements, speaking engagements, and cover stories.
2. Strategic Messaging & Narrative Development
* Ability to craft multi-layered messaging frameworks: one narrative for subscribers, another for media, another for cultural leadership.
* Experience in building “message houses” and talking point documents for executives.
3. Crisis Communication Readiness
* Expertise in risk mapping, scenario planning, and developing proactive and reactive statements.
* Comfort navigating sensitive issues (especially in categories like adult content, social impact, ethics).
4. Event PR & Activation
* Ability to design and execute PR-driven events: media briefings, panels, experiential activations.
* Skills in securing media attendance, handling press at live events, and managing post-event coverage.
5. Media Monitoring & Analysis
* Proficiency in using tools like Meltwater, Cision, Muck Rack, TrendKite, or equivalent.
* Ability to pull clean reporting, measure sentiment, calculate advertising value equivalencies (AVE), and tie results to KPIs.
6. Digital PR and SEO Awareness
* Understanding of how earned media impacts SEO, backlink strategies, and digital domain authority.
* Awareness of trends in podcast PR, Substack media, and influencer relations beyond old-school "press" models.
7. Cross-Market Cultural Fluency
* Sharp understanding of U.S. vs. U.K. media landscapes, cultural references, sensitivities, and regional narratives.
* Ability to localize strategies without diluting brand voice.
