Role Summary
As a QA Engineer, you will support the development, implementation and operation of quality control programs and procedures. The position involves translating customer specifications and industry standards into product/process criteria, creating control plans, and addressing day‑to‑day production quality issues within the manufacturing plant, at customer sites and supplier facilities.
Your role
- Coordinate with production to plan and execute inbound and production checks
- Manage relations with customers or third‑party inspectors
- Participate in external supplier quality testing and audits
- Participate in Continuous Improvement Process (CIP) events
- Monitor product portfolio KPIs and drive effective root cause corrective actions to address gaps to agreed targets
- Manage customer witness inspections
- Maintain and analyze data to provide information or identify problems for management and stakeholders on the state of a process or product quality
- Create awareness in the Leadership community regarding opportunities discovered or developed and how to realize them
- Collaborate with the department or other company departments to clarify/resolve technical issues related to QC activities
- Provide necessary documents as per QAP to customers after coordinating with internal departments and closing all documentation queries
- Other duties as assigned
Your profile
- Experience in engineering and utilization of Lean and Six‑Sigma tools and methodologies
- Experience in a quality control department
- Understanding of product/process flow
- Strong organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- BS or BA degree in a relevant field and/or 0‑2 years of relevant experience
