Overview IENAI SPACE is a fast-growing startup based in Madrid, developing an end-to-end ecosystem of in-space mobility products, including propulsion systems and engineering SaaS. We are an innovative company in the "New Space" sector, composed of engineers, PhDs, and developers aiming to revolutionize space mobility and propulsion for small satellites. We recently kickstarted our commercial phase with our first product: 360TM, a Mission and Space Mobility analysis SaaS.

How will you contribute to IENAI SPACE?
As a Systems Engineer & Missions Project Manager, you will manage and coordinate IOD/IOV missions as well as other R&D projects. You will be the main interface with IOD/IOV providers and project stakeholders and serve as the focal point for these missions/projects. You will ensure the on-time release of required documentation and deliverables to achieve mission/project milestones.
Responsibilities Project/Mission Focal point – Serve as the primary point of contact with the provider/client during the whole mission/project execution. Organize, hold and conduct progress meetings and milestones reviews. Produce the required documentation (minutes, etc.) and track stakeholder actions.
Project management – Monitor progress and ensure on-time delivery. Collaborate with stakeholders to address changes to scope and timeline. Manage risks with mitigation, acceptance, or transfer. Manage system requirements and related documentation. Define tasks and tests for validation and verification (V&V) and ensure correct execution. Provide System Engineering support throughout the project/mission timeline, including generating engineering documentation.
PMO – Collaborate with the Program Manager on PMO tasks such as elaborating and tracking KPIs, resource/load management, documentation, reporting, sprint planning and reviews. Support development of PMO tools and procedures and drive process improvements in project and mission management.
What we look for Must have
3–6 years of relevant experience in related fields.
Systems Engineering background with experience in V&V processes and requirements management.
Strong technical writing skills, including user-facing documentation, and knowledge of typical space project documents (ICD, VCD, DML, etc.).
Some experience in project management tasks and willingness to grow in that direction.
Negotiation-level communication skills in English and Spanish.
Strategic and leadership skills, excellent interpersonal skills, and stakeholder management.
Rigorous, autonomous, proactive, with ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Nice to have
Knowledge of ECCS or other space-related standards.
Knowledge of New Space approaches and techniques.
Experience in writing proposals for calls and ITTs from national and international entities (ESA, CDTI, etc.).
Project Management certificates and/or courses.
Knowledge of spacecraft systems, subsystems, and operations (CONOPS).
