As a civil engineer, you'll have the opportunity to work in a cutting-edge and dynamic design environment, collaborating with – and learning from – the multiple disciplines across the company. Our projects range from railways to hospitals to large scale residential developments to carbon-neutral office buildings.
As a Civil Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and modelling civil systems by working collaboratively with the many other disciplines at Bryden Wood.
You will be expected to manage and produce designs independently for small to medium projects, and under supervision for larger, more complex projects.
Support and/or lead submissions and approvals with relevant Spanish bodies and authorities
Good level of civil design capability including levels, underground drainage, pavements and roads, flooding, and earthworks.
Experience with submission and approval with relevant Spanish bodies and authorities (Colegio de Ingenieros, municipalities, environmental authorities, statutory undertakers, and other stakeholders).
Experience with approval processes for sewer connections and adoptions, including applications with the local municipality.
Good knowledge of Spanish design codes, standards and regulations including, PG3, CTE, Guía de cimentaciones en obras de Carretera.
Proficiency in (and enthusiasm for) design and modelling software including, Autodesk Civil 3D and hydraulic modelling software such as InfoDrainage.
A good understanding of BIM requirements. Knowledge of Revit beneficial but not necessary. If the candidate does not have experience with Revit, a willingness to learn will be an advantage.
Minimum 3 years' experience of working in a civil engineering design office.
University degree as Ingeniero de Caminos Canales y Puertos, Ingeniero de Obras Públicas or Ingeniero Civil.
Fluent in spoken and written in English and Spanish.
