We’re Hiring! Head of Sales for ECOPET Europa – Catalonia 🇪🇸
ECOPET Europa (https://www.ecopeteuropa.com/) is expanding its team in Catalonia. We’re looking for an experienced Head of Sales with a background in plastic recycling to help us grow sustainably in one of Europe’s most dynamic regions.
Our Products: We manufacture food-grade plastic packaging using partially recycled materials, both with and without absorbent pads, specifically designed for the meat industry. We also produce film for thermoforming trays, giving us a fully integrated, closed-loop production cycle.
We operate throughout Spain and are ready to work for export markets. Our sales include clients in Portugal and South America.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement the company’s strategic B2B PET-packaging sales plan across Spain and international markets (Portugal, South America, etc.)
• Lead the entire sales function and manage a team of Sales Managers, setting KPIs and driving performance
• Define commercial policy and pricing strategy for food-grade PET packaging (trays, film, absorbent liners)
• Identify and develop key accounts in retail, distribution, and food production sectors
• Conduct high-level contract negotiations and close strategic deals
• Analyze market trends, customer behavior, and competitor landscape to proactively adapt the sales approach
• Ensure close coordination between sales, production, and logistics teams to align supply with demand
• Oversee CRM, budgeting, sales forecasting, and reporting processes
• Represent the company at trade fairs and industry events
• Ensure the team adheres to sustainability goals and communicates ECOPET's closed-loop value proposition to clients
Requirements:
* Minimum 3–5 years in a senior B2B sales leadership role, ideally in plastic or PET packaging for the food sector
* Demonstrated success in developing and executing sales strategies and building effective sales teams
* Deep understanding of the food packaging market (trends, competitors, demand)
* Knowledge of working with key retail chains, distributors, and food manufacturers
* Experience in conducting negotiations at the executive level
* Familiarity with pricing, contract negotiation, logistics and commercial forecasting
* Strong knowledge of the PET production and conversion cycle is highly desirable
