Now, we are looking for a Senior Project Manager ready to lead complex MICE and sports events with strategic vision, operational mastery, and commercial intelligence.
What will your role be as Senior Project Manager – DMC Cities?
As a Senior Project Manager, you will take full ownership of high-impact projects from proposal design to on-site execution, ensuring excellence at every stage.
Your main responsibilities will include:
* Designing high-level, creative and strategic proposals aligned with client brand positioning.
* Full operational management of complex MICE & sports projects across Spain
* Leading coordination of all stakeholders (internal teams, suppliers, venues, partners).
* Advanced supplier negotiation and contracting, including booking schedules, cancellation ratios, payment terms, and risk management.
* Strategic pricing analysis to ensure optimal quality-price positioning and alternative scenario building.
* Selection of environmentally responsible providers ensuring top service standards.
* Sourcing and securing unique and exclusive venues (stadiums, castles, wineries, royal buildings, museums, private estates, ports, airports, etc.).
* Managing high workloads under tight deadlines while ensuring productivity and efficiency standards.
* Ensuring compliance with KPIs and performance metrics defined by clients and the DMC Cities unit.
* Supporting business development, prospecting opportunities, and contributing to strategic growth.
* Leading on-site execution of events and maintaining senior-level client interaction.
* Willingness to travel frequently across Spain.
REQUISITOS MÍNIMOS
Technical & Operational Expertise Required
The role requires strong operational depth and back/mid-office knowledge:
* Advanced command of Amadeus Selling Platform Connect:
* Air reservations (pricing, issuance, reissuance – individual & groups)
* Smart Flows, Smart Trigger, Quality Monitor
* Queue management system
Management of web-based reservation platforms:
* Bedbanks
* Rail
* Low-cost airlines
* Ferry
* Insurance platforms
Project management platforms:
* Cvent
* Dynamic
* Custom project apps and event microsites
Tools:
* Microsoft Outlook, Teams, Planner
* SharePoint & OneDrive
* Avsis
* Advanced Excel, Word, PowerPoint
What are we looking for?
* 5+ years of proven experience in DMC and MICE / Sports project management.
* Deep knowledge of Spanish destinations and supplier network.
* Senior-level negotiation and contracting experience.
* Strong commercial and financial mindset.
* Excellent client communication skills (written and verbal).
* Proactive, solution-driven, and decision-oriented profile.
* Proven ability to work under pressure and manage multiple high-impact projects.
* Dynamic, methodical, highly organized, and collaborative team spirit.
* Open and available to travel regularly
Languages:
* English C1 (mandatory)
* French or German C1 (mandatory)
* Additional languages will be considered an asset.
