About SCANOSS SCANOSS provides an open source Software Composition Analysis (SCA) platform that helps developers and enterprises identify, track, and manage open source components in their code. Our tooling is open source and available on GitHub, enabling complete transparency and rapid developer adoption. We’re growing our team and looking for a
Technical Product Specialist
who can bridge the gap between engineering, documentation, demos, and customer-facing communication.
What You’ll Do Own the end-to-end product documentation
experience — from quick-start guides to deep-dive technical references. Build and deliver technical demos
that clearly explain how to use SCANOSS tools, including CLI and API usage. Collaborate daily
with the
Marketing
and
Sales
teams to ensure documentation, messaging, and demos align with customer needs and product positioning. Support the
Product
and
Engineering
teams with clear, concise user-facing materials. Maintain and improve
example integrations, sample code, and onboarding tutorials. Engage with internal stakeholders and early users to understand documentation gaps and prioritize improvements.
What We’re Looking For Strong programming knowledge, especially in
Python
— you’ll be expected to run, test, and explain code-level interactions with our tools. Exceptional written and spoken
English
— you’ll be writing docs, giving demos, and possibly recording walkthroughs. Proven ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly and concisely. Experience working cross-functionally with marketing, sales, or customer success teams. Comfortable working in remote-first environment. Familiarity with open source tools, Git, GitHub workflows, and Markdown-based documentation.
Bonus Points Experience working in DevTools, security, or software analysis. Prior work with open source communities or contributions on GitHub. Familiarity with CI/CD workflows, Docker, or software scanning tools.
Before the Interview All SCANOSS tools are
open source and available on GitHub. We encourage applicants to explore the product beforehand — clone the repos, try the CLI, or scan some code. We’d love to talk about your first impressions.
Why SCANOSS? Work with a product that developers love and trust. Be part of a global remote-first team. Help shape the developer experience for an open source platform used in real-world software supply chain security.
