It is an exciting time to be part of Procurement.A vacancy has arisen in the lines of our Commodity Managers within strategic procurement, a vital part of the procurement and supply chain community. You will join the Flight Controls Commodity for all ADS platforms, which will give you a unique wide vision of the Airbus Defence & Space current and future business. You will work developing structural relationships with well established worldwide suppliers and managing complex work packages.Responsibilities Develop and execute a strategy for your sub-commodities, including market understanding, technology evolution, tendering, negotiations and long-term contract establishment with suppliers.Perform supplier analysis (supplier evaluation, supplier financial analysis, etc.), risk assessment and management, and make or buy business cases.Develop a solid working knowledge of commodity trends including cost drivers, global pricing, market and industry trends and material lead times to maintain availability of cost-effective supplies.Coordinate all activities within the Multifunctional Teams (MFT) of your domain (e.g., Engineering, Finance, PMO, Quality) to safeguard successful management of your sub-commodity and enable value-for-money proposals.Contribute to the profitability of the company and to the expansion of projects and related services.Establish, implement and monitor a Commodity strategy for your perimeter; manage supplier relationships and development programs.Lead the (Sub-) Commodity Multi-Functional Team and drive bids, tenders and supplier selection processes.Lead and contribute to Procurement/Value Creation projects and initiatives delivering synergies and savings.Lead negotiations with suppliers to meet program expectations; set up, negotiate and manage contractual agreements, including exiting contracts and negotiating new supplier contracts.Lead Supplier Evaluation Development (SED) and Vendor Management with action plans to develop strategic suppliers.Requirements Degree in Engineering, Business Management or equivalent.At least 5 years of experience in activities that provide: procurement, engineering, services, project/program management.Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to persuade, influence and convince.Experience working in a matrix environment with a proven record of stakeholder management.Able to anticipate, assess and mitigate risks.Excellent relationship building, team building, empowering, motivating others and conflict management skills.English with negotiation level proficiency.Knowledge of SAP is an asset.This position has high visibility in Procurement and in the functions it interfaces with (PMO, Services, Quality, Supply Chain and Engineering).Company and Employment Details Company: Airbus Defence and Space SAUEmployment Type: PermanentExperience Level: Entry LevelJob Family: Sourcing, Buying and OrderingBy submitting your CV or application you consent to Airbus using and storing information about you for monitoring purposes relating to your application or future employment.
