We are looking to strengthen its Global Capex Area with the figure of a: /ppbr/ppbPROJECT ENGINEER (Industrial Sector) /b /ppbr/ppbMISSION STATEMENT: /b /ppbr/ppReporting to the Global CAPEX area, the selected candidate will be responsible for the bend-to-end management of capital projects (CAPEX) /b, ensuring successful execution in terms of scope, cost, timeline, and safety. The role acts as a key interface between technical teams, operations, and external partners such as contractors and suppliers. /p pbKEY RESPONSABILITIES: /b /ppbr/pp· bEnd-to-End Project Ownership: /b Manage capital investment projects (up to ~$5M) from initial concept through execution and completion, including scope definition, cost estimation, preparation of capital expenditure requests, and resource planning. /pp· bProject Planning Execution: /bDefine project timelines, milestones, and deliverables, ensuring efficient execution with minimal disruption to existing plant operations. /pp· bCross-functional Coordination: /bLead and coordinate multidisciplinary teams (engineering, operations, maintenance, and technical teams) to achieve project and site objectives. /pp· bCost Control Performance Monitoring: /bTrack project performance (cost, schedule, scope), proactively identify deviations, and communicate progress to senior stakeholders through reports and presentations. /pp· bProcurement Supplier Management: /bDevelop RFQs, evaluate proposals, and manage procurement activities, including supplier selection, negotiation, and contractor coordination to optimize system performance. /pp· bTechnical Specification Engineering Design: /bDevelop and review technical specifications to ensure compliance with site standards and equipment availability, including preparation of engineering documentation. /pp· bEngineering Documentation Drawings: /bPrepare, review, and maintain engineering drawings such as Process Flow Diagrams (PFD), Piping Instrumentation Diagrams (PID), assembly drawings, and detailed design documentation. /pp· bSystem Design Troubleshooting: /bDesign, analyze, and troubleshoot equipment and systems related to instrumentation, controls, mechanical, thermal, hydraulic, and heat transfer processes. /pp· bField Evaluation Continuous Improvement: /bEvaluate field installations, identify improvement opportunities, and recommend design modifications to eliminate system or equipment malfunctions. /pp· bCommissioning Start-up Management: /bOversee installation, commissioning, and start-up of new or upgraded equipment, ensuring performance validation and operational readiness. /pp· bContractor Supervision: /bManage external contractors on-site, ensuring alignment with project requirements, timelines, and safety standards. /pp· bRisk Safety Management: /bConduct risk assessments (HAZOP, FMEA) and ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations across all project phases. /pp· bStandardization Best Practices: /bEnsure consistency and replication of best-in-class process technologies across different sites when applicable. /ppbr/ppbREQUIERED PROFILE /b /ppbr/ppbEducation Experience /b /pulliBachelor’s degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, Civil or equivalent). /liliMinimum of 5 years of experience in project engineering or related roles within industrial/manufacturing environments. /liliProven experience managing capital projects and coordinating project engineering teams. /liliDemonstrated experience working in complex industrial settings with exposure to plant operations and project execution. /li /ulpbTechnical Skills Knowledge /b /pulliStrong understanding of multidisciplinary engineering disciplines, including mechanical, electrical, civil, chemical and instrumentation engineering. /liliProven experience in reading, interpreting, and developing mechanical and engineering design drawings. /liliSolid knowledge of process engineering fundamentals, including PFDs, PIDs, and material balances. /liliExperience with risk assessment and safety methodologies such as HAZOP and FMEA. /liliExperience in system design, troubleshooting and optimization in industrial environments. /liliFamiliarity with procurement processes, technical specifications development, and vendor selection. /li /ulpbProject Operational Capabilities /b /pulliProven ability to manage contractors and external suppliers within project environments. /liliExperience coordinating cross-functional teams and working effectively in matrix organizations. /liliStrong understanding of project lifecycle management, including planning, execution, monitoring, and commissioning phases. /liliAbility to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high quality standards and meeting deadlines. /li /ulpbLanguages /b /pulliFluent in Spanish and English, both written and spoken, with strong communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences. /li /ulpbSoft
