Role Overview:
Huntsman has an exciting opportunity for a Chemical Exposure/Risk Assessor in EMEA. As a key member of the Polyurethane division, you will provide expert advice to the Global Materials and Industry Sustainability (GM&IS) team, utilizing professional judgment in exposure assessment, occupational health & safety, and toxicology.
Your responsibilities will include conducting and overseeing exposure and risk assessments, supporting (REACH) evaluation and authorization processes to ensure the regulatory compliant sale and transfer of Huntsman Polyurethane Products globally. Additionally, you will proactively analyze substitution opportunities to guide strategic marketing and innovation teams toward potential innovation or new market growth.

Role Responsibilities:
As a Chemical exposure/Risk assessor, you will be responsible for:
* Providing expert input for registration, evaluation, restriction, and authorization processes to ensure compliance with REACH regulations and other Global Regulatory Authorities' obligations.
* Conducting exposure assessments using approved tools like EASY TRA and CHESAR, contributing to Product Sustainability Assessments.
* Assessing competitive materials and substances under pressure, developing opportunity analyses to enhance the differentiation of the Polyurethane business.
* Assisting downstream users, including our own DSEs, with regulatory issues and conducting worker/consumer risk assessments.
* Performing risk assessments (according to EHS 703) for any new R&D material or existing material in new use.
* Ensuring critical data entry review (tox/ecotox/phys-chem) of the Predictive Chemical Risk Tool to improve its predictive capability.
Experience and Competencies:
We are looking for experienced candidates with excellent communication skills and a solution focused approach.
What we are looking for:
* Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Science / Engineering Toxicology with a minimum of three years of experience in Chemical/Pharmaceutical/CRO roles.
* Proficiency in Risk Assessment and the use of tools such as EASYTRA, EUSES, CHESAR.
* Knowledge in (regulatory) toxicology is considered a plus.
* Practical experience with REACH and GHS Classification is advisable.
* Effective team player with the ability to lead technical committees both within Huntsman and external Industry Associations.
* Demonstrated ability to work globally and thrive in a multi-cultural environment is essential.
