P Seeking a Business Development Lead – CI Solar Solutions (Spain) /p p I#39;m currently supporting a leading global PV and Energy Storage (ESS) manufacturer in the search for a Business Development Lead to drive the growth of their Commercial Industrial (CI) solar business in Europe /p p About the Role /pp We are seeking a highly connected and entrepreneurial Business Development Lead to drive the growth of our Commercial Industrial (CI) solar business in Spain. /pp The primary objective of this role is to establish and expand strategic partnerships with leasing companies, financial institutions, ESCOs, energy service providers, and commercial channel partners to accelerate the adoption of turnkey photovoltaic (PV) solutions for commercial and industrial customers. /pp This position combines strategic partnership development, market expansion, and commercial leadership, making it ideal for a professional with a strong network in the Spanish renewable energy and financing ecosystem. /p p Key Responsibilities /pp Strategic Partnership Development /pulli Identify, develop, and manage partnerships with leasing companies, financial institutions, ESCOs, energy retailers, and other financing partners. /lili Structure commercial cooperation agreements that facilitate customer access to solar solutions through leasing, PPA, Energy-as-a-Service, and other financing models. /lili Build a sustainable partner ecosystem that generates qualified project opportunities. /li /ulp Business Development /pulli Develop and execute the company#39;s growth strategy for the Spanish CI solar market. /lili Identify and secure new commercial opportunities through direct customer engagement and partner channels. /lili Establish relationships with industrial, logistics, manufacturing, retail, and commercial property stakeholders. /lili Create and maintain a robust sales pipeline of CI solar projects. /li /ulp Market Expansion /pulli Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and regulatory developments affecting the Spanish solar market. /lili Identify emerging opportunities within distributed generation, self-consumption, energy efficiency, and energy services. /lili Support the development of innovative commercial models to increase market penetration. /li /ulp Solution Structuring /pulli Work closely with engineering, project development, and finance teams to create compelling turnkey solar solutions. /lili Support the preparation of commercial proposals, financial models, and business cases. /lili Ensure alignment between customer requirements and project feasibility. /li /ulp Stakeholder Management /pulli Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and trade fairs. /lili Build relationships with industry associations, chambers of commerce, financial institutions, and key market influencers. /lili Act as a trusted advisor to partners and customers. /li /ulp Reporting Performance /pulli Deliver accurate sales forecasts and partnership pipeline reports. /lili Monitor KPIs related to partner-generated opportunities and project conversion rates. /lili Provide regular market intelligence and strategic recommendations to management. /li /ul p Requirements /pp Experience /pulli5+ years of experience in business development, partnerships, project development, or commercial roles within renewable energy, solar PV, energy services, or infrastructure financing. /lili Demonstrated experience working with leasing companies, ESCOs, financial institutions, or structured energy financing solutions. /lili Strong understanding of the Spanish CI solar market. /lili Experience selling or developing turnkey solar, self-consumption, energy efficiency, or distributed energy projects. /li /ulp Network /pulli Existing relationships with: /lili Leasing companies /lili ESCOs /lili Commercial finance providers /lili Energy retailers /lili EPC companies /lili Industrial and commercial energy users /li /ulp Skills /pulli Strong negotiation and partnership development capabilities. /lili Excellent commercial acumen and financial understanding. /lili Ability to structure complex commercial agreements. /lili Entrepreneurial and self-driven mindset. /lili Strong communication and presentation skills. /li /ulp Education /pulli Bachelor#39;s or Master#39;s degree in Business, Engineering, Energy, Finance, or a related field. /li /ulp Languages /pulli Native or fluent Spanish. /lili Professional English proficiency. /li /ulp Preferred Qualifications /pulli Experience with solar leasing, PPA, Energy-as-a-Service, or asset financing structures. /lili Knowledge of battery energy storage systems (BESS) and energy management solutions. /lili Experience working in fast-growing renewable energy companies or project developers. /lili Existing network within Spain#39;s commercial and industrial energy sector. /li /ul
