EFI is looking for a Accountant (6 month contract) to join our Inkjet Business Unit in our Almazora office.
Job Description:
•Responsible, within our Service Center, for the Spain
•Monitoring the accounting procedures, specially post monthly and quarterly accruals
•Coordinate with our Accounts Payable department located in India, ensuring the accuracy of the postings, post urgent invoices, request approvals to appropriate levels for prepayment invoices and upload documents in SAP.
• Create and maintain vendors in the system, provide replies to vendors about the status of their accounts payable invoices, create Purchase requisitions and coordinate with purchasing team to create Purchase Orders
•Download import documents (DUA) and coordinate with India team to ensure our accounting ties with Spanish Tax Authorities (hacienda).
•Support to Logistic, purchasing and FP&A team
•Compliance with local accounting regulations
•Liaison with our outside service providers (e.g. external accountants)
•Maintain the General Ledgers / reconciliations
•Inter-Company transactions and eliminations
•Elaborate the necessary documents to external and internal auditors.
•Reply monthly survey.
•Provide economic support for the grants or tax deductions requested by the company.
Will be valuable knowledge in:
•Preparation of local VAT returns (tax forms 303, 340, 349, 216, 111) annual tax forms and Intrastat reporting of 3 companies.
•Attend requirements from Spanish Tax authorities
•Liaison with our accounting and treasury department in our head office in the US
•Post and review banks accounts.
•Treasury forecast and reporting
•Preparation of payments to vendors
•Fixed asset maintenance.
Job Requirements:
•BA in Accountancy or related field.
•At least 1 years’ relevant accounting experience some of which should have been acquired within a Shared Service Centre Environment.
•Good verbal and written command of Spanish and English.
•Hands-on mentality with strong communication skills.
•Service orientated.

•Another foreign language would be an advantage.
•Knowledge of US GAAP
•Experience with SAP preferably.
•Experience with office, outlook and excel.
