We are a startup aiming to grow within a group of international trading companies. We are opening a new office in Catalonia / Seville and are looking for a talented and motivated Accountant who is ready to become a key member of our team during this exciting growth phase in Spain.

Responsibilities
Full-cycle accounting and tax reporting for the Spanish legal entity in strict compliance with local laws (Plan General Contable).
Timely preparation, verification, and submission of all mandatory tax reports and declarations to the Spanish authorities, including:
VAT (IVA) and the SII system (Suministro Inmediato de Información)
Corporate Tax (Impuesto sobre Sociedades)
Personal income tax declarations (Modelo 111, 190, etc.)
Processing and recording primary documentation (invoices, bank statements, contracts, acts).
Accounting for bank operations, monitoring cash flow, executing payments.
Monitoring and managing accounts receivable and payable.
Preparing and consolidating accurate financial data for monthly and quarterly financial closings in accordance with corporate standards.
Ensuring compliance of accounting processes with Spanish legislation and internal company policies.
Collaborating with external auditors, tax advisors, and other third‐party service providers (as needed).
Performing basic financial data analysis to support operational decisions.
Accounting for and managing employee expenses.
Selecting an IT system and ensuring automation of accounting processes.
Qualifications
A university degree in accounting, finance, economics, or a related field.
Minimum 2–3 years of accounting experience in Spain.
Deep and up-to-date knowledge of Spanish accounting standards (Plan General Contable) and tax regulations (IVA, Sociedades, SII, withholdings).
Proficiency in popular accounting software (e.g., ContaSol, Sage, SAP, or equivalents).
Advanced MS Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, data analysis).
Spanish language fluency (C1 / C2) – native-level is a strong plus.
English language level: stable employment with a major international company at the exciting stage of expansion in Spain.
