Role
Job Title: Head of Business Development - Europe
Location: UK or Europe (Remote, 30% travel)
Responsibilities
* Responsible for driving new business across Europe, working closely with the existing team to grow current accounts and win new clients
* Lead and manage the European business development team, ensuring strong performance, alignment, and collaboration across the region
* Collaborate heavily with the CCO to develop and implement a robust commercial strategy across discovery and related service offerings
* Responsible for supporting delivery against the regional sales target by maintaining an active pipeline and identifying new growth opportunities across key European markets
* Build and maintain strong client relationships by ensuring consistent communication, conducting regular client visits, and resolving any issues promptly
Requirements
* Must have CRO drug discovery or CRDMO services business development experience, with existing customer relationships
* Must have previous team management experience and a strong leadership profile
* Background in either small molecule or large molecule services, with CMC experience being advantageous
* Bachelor’s degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemical Engineering, Life Sciences, or similar educational background; PhD is a plus
* Strong commercial mindset, team leadership skills, and the ability to win new business
