Duties will include analysis and provision of strategic legal advice focused on business-oriented solutions on a wide range of general commercial matters. Role will include management of external counsel. /ppbWhat You’ll Do /b /pullipIdentifies routine to moderately complex legal issues related to strategic matters across Abbott divisions; solutions focused and effective risk management capability. /p /lilipNegotiates and provides strategic legal support on significant matters and areas of importance directly to management and lead stakeholders across the divisions /p /lilipMaintains a sound knowledge of Abbott businesses in the countries supported and knowledge of the broader business impact to the extent of assigned issues /p /lilipResolves moderately complex legal matters day to day in practice area and elevates appropriately to senior legal leadership and other members of the legal team where support is needed /p /lilipKeeps abreast of changes in laws that affect client areas; communicates these to business; /p /lilipResolves legal issues using negotiation skills and legal expertise; /p /lilipManages external counsel in a cost-effective manner to minimize risk to Abbott and provide effective advice to the relevant Abbott businesses. /p /li /ulpbRequired Qualifications /b /pullipQualified Lawyer in Spain or similar /p /lilip5–8 years of post-qualification experience. Experience in renowned law firm or in-house in a multinational company are preferred, and ideally with some experience in the healthcare sector or other highly regulated industry. /p /lilipLanguages: Fluent in English and Spanish (both written and spoken) is required.
