Overview
Join Siemens Energy as a Field Service Technician. You will conduct on-site mechanical and electrical assembly, troubleshoot Air Insulated Switchgear (AIS), and engage in commissioning activities across diverse locations in Spain and occasionally abroad. Your work supports decarbonization and electrification and makes a real impact on communities worldwide.
Responsibilities
* Conduct on-site mechanical and electrical assembly and troubleshooting of Air Insulated Switchgear and other high-voltage equipment, ensuring effective problem-solving.
* Lead commissioning activities for AIS systems, executing functional and performance testing, documenting results, and addressing discrepancies.
* Prioritize health and safety by adhering to safety protocols, conducting risk assessments, and ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and your team.
* Collaborate with project teams to ensure timely and efficient project execution, contributing to electrification while maintaining high safety standards.
* Provide technical support and training to local teams and clients, empowering them to adopt our solutions safely and effectively.
What You Bring
* A technical degree in electromechanics or electricity (or equivalent).
* Strong problem-solving skills and a hands-on approach to engineering challenges.
* Willingness to travel extensively, with availability for travel 80-90% of the time.
* Fluency in English with excellent communication skills (B2 level).
* Proactive attitude and a passion for learning and professional growth.
