For our RUBBER BUSINESS and AMMEGA Integral Product Line Management team, we are currently looking for a/an
RUBBER PRODUCT LINE MANAGER
As a RUBBER PRODUCT LINE MANAGER, you will be responsible for all activities to ensure the success of the product lines and marketing strategies, define a roadmap for product development by identifying opportunities for improving the growth trajectory of product lines and recommending new product development, manage P&L; for product lines and ensuring actions are taken to maintain as much profit as possible with the given product line. You will report to the Global Product Line Manager Power Transmission. For this role, you can be located in any European city, preferably Mathi, Italy, or Vilanova, Spain.
The main responsibilities of the Rubber Product Line Manager include:
- Participates on the extended leadership team, advising VP/GM, and prepares corporate planning sessions
- Oversees the sales and engineering team (SET), ensuring customers receive the necessary technical answers
- Cooperates with the sales engineering team, including selecting, training, evaluating and coaching employees
- Cooperates with product marketing team to include evaluating product lifecycle, understanding market pressures, customer needs and competitive pressures
- Designs and maintains robust pricing strategies including Index 100 level position analysis, price increase strategy and history, margin analysis and enhancement
- Manages the 5P analysis: Product, Price, Placement, Promotion and People
- Implements Company strategy for all the product lines
- Promotes the Company's technical solutions at targeted accounts and supports the pull-through at the Distributors, if necessary
- Assigns resources to train sales force effectiveness in Distributor organizations
- Recommends and maintains a budget relative to promotional investments
- Establishes COGS reporting into the organization
- Assists in solving technical or quality problems with respective product line or portfolio
- Holds direct line management responsibility over the Head of R&D;, ensuring strategic direction and cross-functional alignmen
To be successful in this role, we are seeking a professional who brings the following background and skills
- A minimum of 10 years of relevant business experience and/or experience combined with a technical or business-related bachelor's degree; an MBA is preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong computer skills and proficiency in MS Office applications, with advanced Excel, PowerPoint and CRM capabilities
- A self-managed approach and the ability to work effectively as part of a team, with a strong passion for collective success
- Background or experience in a sales or manufacturing environment (preferred)
- Experience interfacing with or selling to industrial distributor organizations (preferred)
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and agendas simultaneously
- Strong team leadership, team-building and facilitation skills
- Experience in conflict resolution
- Willingness and ability to travel 50% or more
