Job Description: Reporting to and under the supervision of the Chair of Liberal Arts and Sciences, the ideal candidate will have content expertise and be skilled in pedagogical practices that engage students and make education relevant. Additionally, they will be student-centered and dedicated to the role of Liberal Arts and Sciences in the education of artists. QUALIFICATIONS Advanced degree in Acoustics or Acoustical Engineering (Ph.D. preferred) Experience teaching at the university level Record of creative scholarship/professional activity Demonstration of collaboration and participation in professional organizations Strong communication and interpersonal skills Command of technology to support professional work and advance teaching and learning Commitment to fostering diversity, equity, and inclusion RESPONSIBILITIES Teach courses in Music Acoustics and/or Architectural Acoustics, as assigned Submit syllabi for all courses assigned Attend Department meetings and contribute to the faculty community Engage in professional development to maintain and continually advance teaching skills Engage in service to the profession Attend College-wide events (e.g., Opening Day) START DATE The start date for the position is Fall 2026 SUBMISSION PROCESS 1.
