Senior Validation Engineer at Celestica Valencia, ES. Celestica is a Canadian company, world leader in the electronic manufacturing sector. The Valencia plant focuses its activities in the Aerospace, Industrial and Healthcare areas, producing and assembling high complexity products. The Design and Engineering Services (D&ES) department specializes in the development of new products and electronic systems for international customers and the production line within the factory.
The D&ES team is composed of more than 50 specialist engineers: electronics, software, mechanics, and related disciplines. The Valencia facility differentiates itself by its design capabilities and the engineering services offered to customers, creating value beyond traditional electronic manufacturing services. Responsibilities
* As a technical lead, take responsibility with minimal supervision for hardware conception, design and build of new products and/or systems. Tasks include electronic circuit design and analysis: electrical diagrams, component selection, PCB layout, simulations, measurements and trials, evaluation of design options, reference designs and strategy development.
* Guide and foster growth for other developers, ensuring task completion in scope, quality and schedule, in accordance with external and internal standards.
* Interact with customer technical teams;
lead meetings with customers and partners as needed;
present progress and propose solutions and alternatives to overcome project challenges.
Qualifications & Skills
* 6-8 years of experience as a hardware electronic designer.
* Bachelor’s degree in a related electrical field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.G., Telecomm Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Industrial Engineering).
* Proven experience in electronic circuit design, component selection and evaluation of critical parameters;
ability to read and compose complex digital and analog electrical diagrams.
* Proficiency in PCB layout design (multi-layer, stackup definition, impedance control, high-speed routing including DDR4, USB3.0, PCIe;
differential pairs;
high-end microprocessors).
* Experience in RF and matching network design for ISM, Bluetooth, NFC;
EMI/EMC mitigation.
* Experience with Cadence Allegro Design Entry & PCB Designer;
knowledge of centralized databases and version control is a plus;
familiarity with other development tools is acceptable.
* Fluent in English (written and spoken).
* Experience in leading/coordinating small development teams in electronics development is an asset;
comfortable directing interaction with customer technical teams (internal or external).
* Experience with electronic circuit analysis, verification, and acceptance test procedures;
experience collaborating with electronic part manufacturers.
