Sales Manager Industry – Export
For one of our clients, an innovative European supplier of finishing solutions for wood, vinyl and paper/printing, we are seeking an experienced Sales Manager Industry – Export.
The company operates in a technical niche market, delivering complex solutions with high added value and a focus on design. Customers include large industrial wood- & parquet manufacturers.
This newly created position supports the organisation’s growth ambitions and reports directly to the Head of the Wood business unit, the company’s largest of three business units. In order to commercially strengthen the presence in the divisions of Wood and Vinyl in Europe, the Sales Manager will focus on international business development and expansion of the customer portfolio. Simultaneously s/he will be developing and managing Key Accounts within the Wood and Vinyl segments.
More specific the core duties and responsibilities of the Sales Manager Industy-Export are:
* Define and implement a strategic commercial plan, including relevant KPIs, in alignment with the organisation’s mission, vision and overall strategy.
* Develop and execute a robust commercial strategy aimed at maximising sales volumes, increasing market share and strengthening product positioning within the assigned regions.
* Building and maintaining strong relationships with major customers; identify new business opportunities and expand existing accounts.
* Analyse and optimise pricing strategies in line with business objectives and market developments.
* Monitor and analyse market trends to spot new business opportunities and adapt sales strategies where necessary.
* Ensure smooth interaction and cooperation with the other colleagues in the sales team.
Profile
* Minimum of 10 years of experience in the woodworking of flooring industry, preferably in wood coatings, related finishing products or woodworking machines.
* Proven commercial success in one or more European markets.
* Strong business development mindset with a clear “hunter” mentality.
* Willingness to travel frequently.
* Hands‑on, entrepreneurial, proactive and results‑driven personality.
* Fluent in English; additional languages are considered a strong asset.
