Senior IT Auditor - Data Analytics - EY GDS Spain - Hybrid
Join EY's Risk Consulting – Technology Risk team to support the Financial Audit in analysing applications, systems, and IT solutions. Your role is to evaluate and recommend improvements in the IT ecosystem, mitigating risks associated with the IT environment.
The opportunity
As a member of EY GDS Spain office in Málaga, you’ll extend your knowledge and experience by working on projects that employ the newest technologies. You’ll help clients choose the most suitable business solutions and contribute to digital transformation.
Your key responsibilities
* Actively establish, maintain, and strengthen internal and external relationships.
* Identify potential business opportunities and risks within projects.
* Assist in IT application security assessments (IT Application Controls, IT General Controls, segregation of duties analysis).
* Define and perform IT audit procedures to assess the operative level of the controls environment.
* Perform IT testing for technologies such as ERP SAP, Oracle or MS‑Dynamics, Cloud Security, Database Security Audits, SOx audits, Process Automation, IT Asset Management, Software License Reviews, GDPR, ISAE 3402, ISO 27001 and others.
* Maintain high‑quality work in line with EY GDS commitment to quality.
Skills and attributes for success
* Background in computer science, statistics, or mathematics.
* Identifying and analysing business problems and opportunities.
* Developing solutions to improve business processes and performance.
* Data cleaning, preparation, exploration, analysis, visualization, and reporting.
* Collecting, analysing, and interpreting large sets of complex data.
* Using statistical and machine‑learning techniques to identify patterns and trends in data.
* Making predictions and informing business decisions.
To qualify for the role
* Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Computer Science or a related major.
* Good organisational and analytical skills.
* Experience with data tools such as Excel, SQL, Python & R, Tableau, Data Warehouse, Power BI.
* Good command of MS Office Suite.
* Experience with ETL data and working with databases.
* Data‑oriented mindset and knowledge of data analytics.
* Fluent in Spanish.
Ideally, you’ll also have
* Fluency in English, German, French, Dutch, Portuguese, and/or Italian.
* Experience in international environments.
* Knowledge of or experience with SAP‑based projects.
* ITIL, SQA, or IT audit certifications.
* Competence in customer experience.
