Every day, Agilent Service Engineers help our customers in Spain (Catalonia and Aragon) to solve issues that enable scientists to make discoveries that improve the quality of life. Through our work, we deliver insights and provide support that keep labs running smoothly and more efficiently.
As a Field Service Engineer for Agilent, you will work at various labs, so having an appetite for continuously learning about new instruments, software, and consumables is key. Applying your communication skills, creativity, and can-do attitude is essential. The ability to help solve customer problems and a commitment to delivering the highest levels of customer service are how you will build customer success.
Your Role
This role entails providing technical and application support to our customers and colleagues. Work on-site at a variety of labs and support customers with product solutions across spectroscopic instruments:
* Responsible for on-site installation, implementation, maintenance, and repair of spectroscopy instruments.
* Installation and optimization of hardware, software, and network products, diagnosing and resolving performance issues at customer sites.
* Perform maintenance, verification, and repairs, proactively responding to potential equipment issues to prevent unplanned interruptions.
* Deliver fully integrated workflow solutions, including peripherals, communications, methods, and applications.
* Collaborate with internal teams and possibly provide technical training and maintenance workshops for field engineers or customers.
Qualifications
* Bachelor’s or master’s degree or equivalent; post-graduate may be required.
* 2 to 3 years of experience in application development with spectroscopy instruments such as ICPMS, ICP Optics, AA, etc., and experience with computer/software/server-connected equipment.
* Proactive, self-driven, curious, and willing to learn new products.
* Proficient in Spanish and English; Catalan is an asset. Good verbal and written communication skills, respectful and timely interactions.
* Driver's license.

This full-time, permanent position is based in Spain, with remote work combined with travel to customer sites within Catalonia and Aragon (a company car will be provided). We will provide training and development opportunities, including learning about new applications and workflows at Agilent’s demo facility.
