The Role
We are seeking an organized individual who is highly motivated and works well independently in a fast‑paced environment, as well as within a team. This is an exciting opportunity to work within our Global Translations Team, reviewing the Spanish translations of our global solutions. The reviews will be done through a translation software (Phrase). The candidate must be bilingual Spanish and English.
This is a temporary position, initially intended to cover a colleague on medical leave, with an immediate start.
The role can be based in Madrid or Bilbao, where BTS has offices. We follow a hybrid working model, with 3 days working from home and 2 days in the office, encouraging regular in‑person collaboration.
Responsibilities
* Review translated documents from English to Spanish and vice versa.
* Internalize/contextualize the translations for all the BTS language and terminology.
* Effectively communicate with internal stakeholders, clients and colleagues to ensure high‑quality translated materials.
* Work with colleagues from global translations teams to create best practices, processes and build knowledge.
* Other ad‑hoc tasks as required.
Necessary Skills
* Writing and drafting skills.
* Native Spanish speaker.
* English proficiency level required.
* Experience with translations AI platforms. Knowledge in Phrase is a plus.
* Experience working in digital platforms.
* Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal – and confidence in dealing with people.
* Experience using Microsoft Office is required (Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
* Independent, quick learner and comfortable taking on responsibility.
Nice to Have
* Fluency in European Portuguese (not Brazilian Portuguese).
* Effective interpersonal skills and communication.
* Highly organized and flexible: proactive; always a step ahead and on top of tasks at hand; communicates needs, instructions and decisions clearly, both verbally and in writing.
* Highly reliable in order to inspire trust and motivate other members of the team.
* Comfortable connecting with peers virtually, especially since BTS is a global, matrixed organization.
