**Summary**

This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies. Applications will not be accepted through this flyer. **Duties**
- You will monitor construction activity to ensure compliance with contract plans, specifications, and scheduling.
- You will manage the technical submittal process to ensure submittals meet contract requirements.
- You will manage the change order process required to address unforeseen conditions, differing site conditions, design deficiencies, etc.
- You will review construction project parameters (e.g., integration, scope, time, cost, quality, communication, procurement, risk management) to recommend changes that will improve the overall project results.
- You will negotiate design modifications with representatives to verify operational agreements satisfy the interests of facilities programs and projects.

- This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
- You must be able and willing to traverse on construction jobsites (approximately 20% of the time) and be able to communicate both orally and in writing effectively to all leadership levels.

**Qualifications**

In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Overseeing and providing construction engineering support for capital improvement projects including military construction and facilities major renovations; 2) Managing or providing significant assistance to the management of capital improvement projects from conception through close-out, to include scope schedule, and cost; 3) Monitoring construction contractor quality and safety programs via available data and metrics and by conducting site visits; 4) Providing recommendations by resolving project problems due to design errors, unforeseen conditions or changes in criteria; and 5) Preparing and presenting briefs related to scopes of work, design reviews, contract negotiations, etc. NOTE:This information must befully supported in your resume.

**Education**

**For the GS-0801 Engineering Series applicants must meet the following basic education requirements of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualifications Standards Manual**:
Successful completion of a professional engineering degree. To be acceptable, the program must: (1) lead to a bachelor's degree (or higher) in a school of engineering with at least one program accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET); or (2) include differential and integral calculus and courses (more advanced than first-year physics and chemistry) in five of the following seven a
