Mission
The Industrial Procurement Category Manager for MRO & Capex will manage the tactical and strategic sourcing and supplier management of capex and MRO within a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. This role is critical to ensuring uninterrupted operations, compliance with GMP standards, the timely implementation of the capex master plan and alignment with the company's global procurement strategy..
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute category strategies for MRO, including Capex and industrial supplies, tailored to the needs of pharmaceutical and chemical manufacturing sites.
- Lead sourcing initiatives that support operational excellence, cost optimization, and risk mitigation.
- Collaborate with engineering, quality, R&D; and manufacturing teams, leading the sourcing part, to align procurement strategies with technical and business requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in industrial Capex projects to achieve and implement the best competitive solution.
- Manage supplier performance through KPIs, audits, and continuous improvement programs.
- Becoming a trusted procurement advisor for internal technical stakeholders.
- Drive digitalization and sustainability initiatives within the MRO category.

Internal
- Negotiate and influence internal stakeholders to ensure compliance and best benefits for the company.
- The ideal candidate should exhibit resilience and adaptability, as the role involves engaging with a diverse group of stakeholders who may vary in their levels of collaboration
External
- Exhibit excellent networking skills while managing suppliers.
- Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers partnering to solve problems and ensure excellent service, quality and reliable supply.
- Apply a collaborative and long-term approach to supplier relationship management.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Proven ability to manage complex supplier networks and collaborate with cross-functional teams in industrial environments.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Proficiency in procurement systems (e.g., SAP, Ariba) and data analytics tools.
- Advanced MS Excel & PPT skills
- GMPs knowledge is a plus.
- Strong ability to negotiate and manage procurement contracts of significant value.
- Fluency in English and Spanish is essential.

Education/Experience:
- Educated to University degree (Business Administration & Economic or engineering)
- Minimum 5 years of industrial procurement experience in the chemical or pharmaceutical sector, ideally with focus on MRO. Experience in capex procurement is a plus.
