Position Overview
We are looking for an Electrical Construction Lead responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising all electrical activities on industrial and offshore projects. The successful candidate will ensure technical compliance, quality standards, adherence to international codes, and proper coordination with all project disciplines.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Management & Site Supervision
Lead and supervise electrical teams (in-house and subcontractors) during installation, cable pulling, terminations, testing, and inspections.
Review technical documentation: drawings, cable schedules, single-line diagrams, isometrics, and specifications.
Ensure correct installation of cable trays, wiring, lighting systems, panels, auxiliary systems, and power/control equipment.
Guarantee compliance with international standards such as IEC, IEEE, and ATEX.
Planning & Coordination
Prepare and manage daily and weekly work plans for the electrical discipline.
Coordinate with mechanical, structural, instrumentation, painting, HVAC, QA/QC, HSE, and commissioning teams.
Manage resources, materials, tools, and equipment.
Identify deviations, propose solutions, and support on-site technical issue resolution.
Quality & Documentation
Ensure installations meet approved procedures and inspection criteria.
Prepare and review ITRs, checklists, ATPs, electrical work permits, LOTO procedures, and quality dossiers.
Manage electrical punch lists and ensure timely closure.
Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)
Enforce safety policies and ensure a safe working environment.
Conduct toolbox talks, issue work permits, and monitor critical electrical activities.
Identify hazards and promote a proactive safety culture.
Commissioning Support
Assist with FAT, SAT, loop checks, energization activities, functional tests, and troubleshooting.
Ensure installations are ready for turnover to the commissioning team.
Requirements
Education
Bachelor’s Degree or Technical Engineering Degree in Electrical, Electronic, Energy, or related fields.
Alternatively, Higher Vocational Training (FP) with strong industrial/offshore experience.
Experience
Minimum 5–8 years of experience in industrial electrical construction or offshore/energy projects.
Proven experience leading teams and managing subcontractors.
Technical Knowledge
Proficient with IEC, IEEE, ATEX standards.
Experience with LV/MV systems, switchgear, panels, control and automation systems.
Basic commissioning and testing knowledge.
