The Senior Accountant / Controller is responsible for the preparation and delivery of the Statutory Books for European Legal Entities, in compliance with local and corporate policies. With a sound understanding of the Legal Entities’ underlying businesses, he/she is responsible for Financial Accounting, Reporting and Internal Controls. He/she supports the Country Leaders and business in all accounting matters and is the interface of the company with external Authorities (incl. External Auditors)You will be involved in the following tasks Complete Local Book in compliance with statutory and corporate policies (timely closing and reporting for local accounts)Partner with external and internal auditorsReconcile Local Book accounts and local versus US GAAP booksMonitor account reconciliations in compliance with the Company’s General PoliciesAnalyze balance sheet and income statements for Legal Entities within the scope of responsibilityCollaborate with Tax for appropriate Income Tax Accruals, Income Tax payments, Tax Cash forecasting, Year-End provisioning and Corporate Income Tax filingParticipate in Company projects impacting the Legal Entities in scopeSupport internal controls in line with SOX 404 as well as the Company’s Internal Control Standards manualWhat YOU will bring to the team University degree in Accounting/FinanceMinimum 5 years of accounting and financial reporting experience requiredPrevious experience in Big4 or multinational companiesExperience in US GAAP and European Local GAAPUnderstanding of Transfer Pricing and intercompany chargesBusiness proficiency in English is required.
