Overview
The CRM (Centre de Recerca Matemàtica) is an independent research centre in the CERCA network since 2008, promoting advanced training and research in mathematics, in collaboration with universities and research institutions in Catalonia. Its mission includes transferring knowledge to society and aiming at societal impact. Research covers fundamental areas (algebra / number theory / geometry / topology, analysis and PDEs, combinatorics and dynamical systems) to applied mathematics (biology, environment, etc.). The centre hosts approximately 80 senior and affiliated researchers from UPC, UB and UAB mathematics departments and holds the Maria de Maeztu Unit of Excellence and the HRS4R award since 2016. CRM organizes 3–4 intensive research programs annually, welcoming about 400 visiting researchers per year (roughly 70% international).
The CRM in Barcelona is seeking a Pre-award Project Manager.
Job Details
Job Title: Pre-award project manager

Expected starting date: As soon as possible
Responsibilities
* Identify relevant competitive calls for CRM and promote project proposals
* Contribute to the attraction of external funds for strategic projects, national and international calls (H2020, Horizon Europe) and alliances aligned with CRM’s objectives
* Promote the participation of research groups in European projects
* Support PIs in the non-scientific drafting of projects and monitor them after award: review proposal drafting, provide comments, help prepare the budget, etc.
* Ensure compliance with policies and regulations for funding calls
* Promote partnership with stakeholders to develop the CRM’s mission; define content of agreements and develop joint actions (workshops, training events, etc.)
* Actively participate in internal training / information sessions of the Projects Department
Requirements
* University degree in mathematics, physics, theoretical computer science or related subjects
* At least 5 years of proven experience in pre-award project management
* Full command of professional Catalan, Spanish and English
* Knowledge of the Spanish and European science and technology systems
* Knowledge of public regional, national and international funding instruments for institutional development of a research centre

Contract Details
