About Caballer

Caballer is a fast-paced law firm advising national and international clients on real estate, real estate finance and corporate transactions across Spain. We combine precision, agility and an international mindset in all aspects of our work.

We are currently looking for a paralegal to join our team and support our lawyers and clients in day-to-day operations and across all phases of the transaction cycle.

Role Overview

The paralegal will support the legal team throughout the life cycle of real estate, real estate finance and corporate transactions, with a particular focus on pre-closing and post-closing activities, as well as contributing to the smooth operation of the office.

Key Responsibilities

Transactional Support – Pre-Closing

· Preparing proposals for legal services and fee estimates.

· KYC.

· Coordinating the execution of powers of attorney with notaries in Spain and abroad.

· Coordinating technical site visits with surveyors and architects.

· Liaising with administrative agents ('gestoría') to arrange advance funds and provisions.

· Scheduling and coordinating signing appointments with Spanish notaries.

· Assisting with the preparation of agreement annexes.

· Follow-up on documentation request lists for legal due diligence.

· Preparation and follow-up on closing agendas.

Transactional Support – Closing

· Attending and supporting notarial closings as required.

· Organising DocuSign for remote and electronic signings.

Transactional Support – Post-Closing

· Following up on land registry filings and tax settlements in coordination with administrative agents ('gestoría'), notaries and registries.

· Coordinating subrogations and/or contracting of insurance policies, utilities and other service agreements.

Office Administration

· Supporting invoicing, expense tracking and basic bookkeeping.

· Managing payroll and service provider payments, as well as expense reimbursements.

· Managing relationships and purchases with office suppliers (e.g. software providers, hardware, landlords, etc.).

Candidate Profile

· Strong organisational skills and high attention to detail.

· Proactive attitude and ability to manage several tasks in parallel.

· Comfortable working in Spanish, English and German.
