We are currently recruiting an Associate Field Service Engineer, ideally based in Barcelona. This is a position requiring travel to customer sites, up to 80% of your time.
Your main responsibilities will be to :
* Perform maintenance, repairs, and installations of LC-MS systems and / or IT solutions at the customer site, including electrical and mechanical testing, in accordance with maintenance contracts.
* Diagnose system failures and identify the most cost-effective solution.
* Escalate complex issues to higher-level technical support and / or the quality department.
* Develop new service / product agreements with customers. Respond to customer support calls for an assigned territory (primarily Catalonia).
* Perform after-sales service with a focus on continuous improvement.
* Regularly report field activity.
* Ensure rigorous administrative management (expense reports, spare parts, etc.).
We are seeking candidates with the following skills and experience :
* Degree or Advanced Degree in chemistry / physics / instrumentation.
* LC experience preferred or LC / MS experience preferred, in a laboratory equipped with these technologies.
* Fluent in Spanish, Catalan, and English.
* Valid driver's license required.
