ABOUT YOU
We are looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist who wants to be part of the multinational team we are creating. In this role, you will be responsible for executing accounting and reporting activities within the Accounts Payable area of Procure to Pay, ensuring timely payments and resolving vendor queries for Germany and Austria. You will also have the opportunity to participate in ongoing projects.
RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Process purchase and cost invoices and credit notes within the agreed timeframe, maintaining high service quality and efficiency.
2. Reconcile vendor statements; resolve debit balances.
3. Proactively follow up on disputed and overdue invoices.
4. Handle incoming queries from vendors and the business.
5. Collect, analyze, and interpret data to produce reports, both monthly and ad-hoc.
6. Perform month-end closing activities.
7. Prepare payment runs; collaborate with other departments to enable smooth settlement of payables.
8. Ensure service levels and quality standards of provided services (KPIs, SLAs).
9. Build effective relationships with suppliers and stakeholders within the local entities.
10. Participate in emerging projects, such as process transitions, continuous improvements, and procedures standardization.
11. Support other areas like Accounts Receivable or General Ledger as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
* Fluency in English; German is a plus.
* 3–5 years of experience in Accounts Payable, ideally within a Shared Service Center.
* Solid accounting skills and understanding of accounting principles.
* Strong proficiency in Excel and SAP.
* Taking ownership of responsibilities.
* Strong interpersonal and organizational skills, with excellent communication skills.
* Problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to detail.
* Ability to learn new skills easily and a willingness to broaden knowledge.
* Effective team-player with energy and enthusiasm.
* Proactive and creative, with a focus on continuous improvement.
