Brief Call : Our process typically begins with a brief virtual / phone conversation to get to know you! The objective? Learn about you, understand your motivations, and make sure we have the right job for you!
Interviews (the average number of interviews is 3 - the number may vary depending on the level of seniority required for the position). During the interviews, you will meet people from our team : your line manager of course, but also other people related to your future role. We will talk in depth about you, your experience, and skills, but also about the position and what will be expected of you. Of course, you will also get to know Amaris : our culture, our roots, our teams, and your career opportunities!
Case study : Depending on the position, we may ask you to take a test. This could be a role play, a technical assessment, a problem-solving scenario, etc.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining advanced backend solutions using Flask and SQL, ensuring the smooth operation and continuous improvement of our software applications. * WHAT WOULD YOU NEED?
* 4 years of experience in backend development.
* Proven experience in Python development, specifically with Flask.
* Strong experience in data handling and processing using SQL, particularly MySQL.
* Familiarity with SQLAlchemy ORM for data model manipulation.
* Experience in database migration, particularly from MySQL to BigQuery.
* Problem-solving skills and critical thinking.
* Excellent proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
* AND IF IN ADDITION...
* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field will be a plus.
* Exposure to BigQuery and understanding of mapping relational logic into BigQuery tables.
WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?
* Write and maintain Flask-based scripts to handle internal data logic, automation, and cleanup tasks in a live application.
* Query, transform, validate, and update data using MySQL and SQLAlchemy.
* Migrate databases from MySQL to BigQuery using a mix of Python scripts, SQL transformations, and manual validation.
* Handle edge database cases as part of a large, sensitive migration process.
* Run, test, and validate scripts inside an existing Dockerized backend environment.
* Maintain and add to current documentation.
* Collaborate with development and operations teams to enhance software applications.
