This is a hands-on engineering leadership role, ideal for someone who understands what “best in class” operational delivery really looks like. /ppbr/ppReporting into the Data Centre Manager, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day oversight of electrical and mechanical systems, third-party service providers, and operational processes, with a clear focus on uptime, safety, and service excellence. /ppbr/ppbThe Role /b /pulliSupport overall responsibility for the site’s bcritical electrical and mechanical infrastructure /b, from both a preventative and reactive maintenance perspective /liliAct as a key bpoint of contact for customers /b during day-to-day operations and incident escalation /liliOversee and challenge bthird-party maintenance providers /b, ensuring PPMs, reactive works and service repairs are completed to standard and on time /liliMonitor and respond to bBMS and critical alarms /b, supporting diagnostics, escalation and root cause analysis /liliReview, develop and improve bSOPs, MOPs and EOPs /b to reduce human error and protect uptime /liliEnsure all bchange management activities /b are carried out in line with process, including review of RAMS, permits and contractor competency /liliProvide cover for the Data Centre Manager during periods of absence /liliSupport a strong bsafety-first culture /b, ensuring compliance with all site, company and client QHSE requirements /li /ulpbr/ppbKey Technical Exposure /b /pulliHV/LV electrical systems, UPS, generators, ATS/STS, PDUs /liliCooling systems including chillers, CRAHs, AHUs and associated controls /liliBMS and electrical power monitoring systems /liliCritical incident and change management processes /li /ulpbr/ppbBackground Experience /b /ppbr/ppbEssential /b /pulliRecognised electrical or mechanical qualification /liliProven experience within bdata centre operations /b or other critical environments /liliStrong understanding of bcritical infrastructure systems /b /liliExperience supervising contractors or acting in a shift-lead / supervisory capacity /liliConfident communicator in bSpanish and English /b (written and verbal) /liliCalm, structured decision-making approach, particularly during incidents /li /ulpbr/ppbDesirable /b /pulliHVAP or working towards HV authorisation /liliFire marshal or first aid certification /liliKnowledge of permit to work systems, risk assessments and asset management tools /li /ulpbr/ppbPersonal Attributes /b /pulliPositive, solutions-focused and delivery-driven /liliComfortable leading by example in a live operational environment /liliDetail-oriented with a strong sense of ownership and accountability /liliAble to remain composed under pressure and during outages or incidents /li /ulpbr/ppbAdditional Information /b /pulliParticipation in an bout-of-hours call-out rota /b is required /liliFlexibility to support planned shutdowns, emergencies and holiday cover /liliOccasional travel to other European facilities for training may be required /liliSuccessful candidates will be subject to background checks in line with local regulations /li /ul
