You would start out as an Editorial Trainee working in close collaboration with our Managing Editors, learning how to process papers properly from submission to publication.

This Assistant Editor position is a full-time, office-based role.
Depending on your scientific background, you will be assigned to an appropriate field. We are primarily looking for editors educated in the following areas: Education, Psychology, and other Humanities and Social Sciences disciplines.
Responsibilities :
1. Support the editorial process for academic research journals in your domain of expertise.
2. Contact experts/scholars and organize the peer-review process for submitted manuscripts, ensuring timely completion.
3. Handle email communication between the parties involved in the publication process.
4. Format manuscripts according to our in-house standards, following tight deadlines and maintaining a high degree of consistency.
5. Collaborate with other members of the editorial and production teams, including the Editor-in-Chief, Editorial Board members, authors, and reviewers, to ensure smooth journal operations and timely publication.
6. Monitor research progress in the journal's disciplinary field and assist the Managing Editor in achieving journal development goals.
Requirements :
* Master’s or PhD degree in the relevant subjects (PhD is an advantage).
* Advanced knowledge of MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
* Excellent communication skills, proficiency in Spanish and English.
* Ability to multitask, strong attention to detail.
* Strong organizational and time management skills.
* Professional experience with scholarly publishing is advantageous but not required.
* Reside in Spain and possess legal authorization to work.
