Air Cooled Chiller Product Engineering Manager
What will you do
* Product Development: Maintains in-depth understanding of theories, concepts, technical principles, and processes related to all aspects of air-cooled chillers. Proficient in refrigeration system design, components selection, and chiller mechanical assembly design. Serve as technical expert to support product design compliance to EU code.
* Product Sustaining: Identify opportunities for product and process improvements based on field feedback and performance data. Work closely with global engineering centers and local factories to initiate and execute engineering changes. Support new product introduction and components localization efforts.
* Field Issue Resolution: Provide support to field service team to investigate and troubleshoot issues reported in the field for installed chillers. Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to resolve problems effectively.
* Manufacturing Support: Possesses extensive knowledge of manufacturing processes related to air cooled chiller products and applies the philosophy of designing to standard manufacturing process. Collaborate with manufacturing teams to optimize production processes and ensure the efficiency and quality of air-cooled chillers assembly.
* Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional teams, including sales, quality assurance, and service, to ensure seamless communication and alignment on project goals and customer expectations.
* Testing and Validation: Oversee testing procedures for new and existing products, ensuring they meet performance specifications and regulatory standards. Analyze test results and recommend design modifications as necessary.
* Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and comprehensive documentation of engineering processes, design changes, and field issue resolutions. Prepare detailed reports for management and clients.
What we look for
* Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field; Master’s degree is preferred.
* 10+ years of experience in mechanical engineering, specifically with air-cooled chillers or HVAC systems.
* Strong understanding of thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, and HVAC design principles.
* Proven experience in supporting manufacturing processes.
* Familiar with CAD software (e.g., Pro-E, Creo), MRP systems (e.g., SAP), and engineering analysis tools.
* Excellent problem-solving skills with a hands-on approach to troubleshooting.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders across the globe.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
