Revlon, a leading multinational cosmetics company, is seeking an Analytical Chemist to join the R&D; team in Barcelona.
Reporting to the General Manager of Analytical Services.
This is a temporary position lasting 9 months and requires full on-site presence.
The role focuses on executing analytical testing for raw materials and finished products, ensuring compliance with established specifications and methods, while supporting multiple R&D; projects in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine and non-routine analyses of raw materials and finished products following established methods and specifications.
- Execute analytical techniques, including chromatography and wet chemistry, ensuring accurate data generation and interpretation.
- Provide analytical support to cross‑functional teams across multiple projects.
- Supervise, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation.
- Ensure proper maintenance, cleanliness, and organization of laboratory equipment and workspace.
- Train and support junior team members when required.
Qualifications
- Degree in Chemistry or related scientific field (Higher Vocational Training also considered with strong experience).
- Around 3 years of experience as an analytical chemist in an industrial environment, such as cosmetics, chemicals, food, or pharmaceuticals.
- Hands‑on experience with chromatographic techniques (LC / GC), ideally with OpenLab software.
- Experience in potentiometric titrations and general wet chemistry techniques.
- Advanced level of English and Spanish.
- Strong Excel and general Office skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize effectively.
- Team-oriented profile with strong communication skills.
