Job Description:
Associate Director, Analytics & Insights / Commercial Excellence
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Gilead team in Commercial Operations to support one of the strategic therapeutic areas in the company. This role will report to the Director of Analytics & Insights and is based in our office in Madrid, Spain.

Supports the Business Unit Director in developing business frameworks and related analytical processes based on the needs of the Company’s senior management, Commercial, Marketing, Commercial Operations, Finance, and Manufacturing functions.
Presents recommendations and findings to various stakeholders within the Commercial organization. Applies strategic thinking and communicates highly complex analytical processes in a clear and concise manner.
Independently leads projects and coordinates input from cross-functional teams of Commercial, Marketing, Finance, and external vendors. Audits written SOPs and documentation of all newly established processes.
Establishes and maintains positive business relationships in key segments of the Commercial organization, demonstrating a thorough understanding of internal customers’ business needs, processes, and priorities.
Interacts with internal customers ranging from executives to Commercial management to sales teams. Directs the planning and implementation of new system enhancements or developments.
Makes recommendations for improvements and ensures system changes meet the business initiatives of Commercial Operations. Represents the Commercial user viewpoint when collaborating with IT to develop process improvements.
Specific Job Responsibilities - Business Analytics:
Defines and implements the adequate Market Intelligence strategy: identify sources of information, ad hoc studies, and business needs. Interacts with vendors and multinational teams to optimize market intelligence outcomes. Designs dashboard reports and oversees analytics for senior management reporting in assigned franchises.
Specific Job Responsibilities - Commercial Excellence:
Tracks business indicators and identifies action plans when appropriate. Creates KPIs and dashboards leading to strategic decision-making processes. Manages the implementation of sales force realignments for assigned franchises.
Specific Job Responsibilities - Forecasting:
Projects demand for Gilead’s and competitors’ products within a therapeutic area over the next two to three years. Advises senior-level internal customers on forecasting assumptions, inputs, and outputs.
Specific Job Responsibilities - Incentive Compensation:
Manages the design and administration of sales incentive plans to align with corporate objectives, strategies, and efforts. Develops and implements sales force reporting tools, ensuring accurate and timely performance measurement. Defines productivity indicators and ensures sales force action plans contribute to increased effectiveness.
Knowledge & Skills:
Advanced understanding of statistical and analytical techniques. Ability to construct mathematical models that simplify user interaction, maintain data integrity, and leverage previous investments in systems and data.
