AVATR, a premium intelligent electric vehicle brand, is seeking a Vehicle Homologation Specialist/Manager to join our Europe Overseas Business Development Team at our Madrid subsidiary. Together with the team, you will support AVATR’s expansion in the Spanish market across business development, sales, marketing, aftersales, and network operations.
What you will do:
* Certification Strategy Planning: Based on the company’s vehicle models and annual production plan, evaluate and select applicable certification routes – EU Whole Vehicle Type Approval (WVTA) or Small Batch Type Approval (SBTA) – and develop corresponding certification strategies and implementation plans.
* Technical Service Management: Liaise with EU-recognized technical services to coordinate conformity assessment and testing activities, including safety, emissions, cybersecurity, and software update certification.
* Documentation & Application Management: Prepare technical documentation, coordinate test sample preparation, submit type approval applications to approval authorities, and continuously track certification progress until the type approval certificate is obtained.
* Compliance Maintenance & Updates: Monitor regulatory changes in Spain and the EU to ensure ongoing compliance of existing certifications;
support Production Conformity (CoP) audits.
* Cross-Departmental Coordination: Work closely with R&D and certification teams at China headquarters, as well as local logistics and after-sales departments in Spain, to ensure certification progress aligns with vehicle import customs clearance schedules.
What you will bring:
* Bachelor’s degree or above in a related field.
* Minimum 2 years of experience in automotive certification or compliance;
EU WVTA experience preferred, BEV (Battery Electric Vehicle) certification experience a plus.
* Familiarity with vehicle certification processes, regulatory frameworks, and technical standards in Spain and the EU.
* Fluent in English and Spanish, able to use both as working languages.
* Strong project management, communication, and coordination skills, with the ability to independently drive certification project progress.
