THE ROLE
We are looking for a Junior Lawyer (0–2 years of experience) to join our Madrid office. You will be a key member of the Portuguese Desk, acting as a technical and linguistic bridge between our Spanish headquarters and our Portuguese operations. This role involves high-level corporate work and requires a professional capable of managing the legal nuances of the Portuguese jurisdiction while integrated into the Madrid team.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
🎓 Education: Law Degree (Licenciatura) from a Portuguese University. An LL.M. or Master’s in Corporate Law is a plus.
💼 Bar Admission: Mandatory registration with the Ordem dos Advogados (OA).
🌍 Languages: Portuguese and English proficiency. Good level of Spanish is preferable.
🤝 Experience: 0–2 years in Corporate/Commercial law. We value candidates who have completed their estágio in top-tier or boutique corporate firms.
✈️ Must have the availability to travel frequently to Lisbon to coordinate in-person matters with our subsidiary and maintain close contact with clients and local authorities.
KEY RESPONSABILITIES
* Draft and review commercial agreements, corporate documents, and shareholders agreements under Portuguese law.
* Manage the day-to-day "life" of companies (incorporations, minutes, capital increases, company changes, such as changes of board members, corporate name and registered office, appointment of auditors, filings with the Portuguese Commercial Registry, etc).
* Act as the primary link between the Madrid office and the Portuguese subsidiary, ensuring seamless communication and document flow.
* Assist in due diligence processes for Portuguese targets and support the closing of cross-border transactions.
* Provide clear, actionable legal advice to international clients looking to enter or expand within the Portuguese market.
