AML & Screening Investigations Team Lead
Building our business ethically and sustainably is key. As a financial institution, we need to monitor platform activity constantly to ensure compliance with rules, regulations, and our risk appetite, in a scalable way. We are seeking an AML & Screening Investigations Team Lead to join our AML and Screening Operations Department in Madrid. Do you want to lead, empower, and coach a passionate team of investigators at the forefront of fighting financial crime? Then, this role is for you!
What you'll do
* Lead a team of specialists conducting in-depth case investigations, analyzing transaction details, customer data, media checks, and recommending filing Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs).
* Collaborate with Compliance, Product, and Operations teams to develop and implement solutions and foster continuous process improvement.
* Stay updated with regulatory changes and internal policies, identifying new risk areas and establishing controls to ensure compliance.
* Monitor team progress, deliver presentations to Senior Leadership, and showcase achievements and strategies.
* Recruit and hire top AML & Screening Investigators aligned with our vision for growth.
* Partner with AML & Screening Leadership to set and execute department goals.
* Work with Quality Assurance to identify trends and training needs, promoting a culture of excellence.
* Coordinate with AML & Screening Data Insights to anticipate risk strategy shifts and ensure operational readiness.
* Foster effective communication within the team, coaching and mentoring team members for growth.
