The Macallan Cask Operations team plays a critical role in delivering exceptional quality casks for our ultra-premium brands by taking control of our Sherry cask supply chain. We are significantly investing in Coopers Oak, Tevasa Forestal Group, Vasyma, and Grupo Estevez to transform Cask Supply for all brands and business units.To realize the benefits of that investment, we are transitioning from a third-party supply model to a fully integrated internal supply chain that sources high-quality American and European Oak, manufactures casks, and seasons them with high-quality sherry wine from our vineyards. This will enhance product quality, brand provenance, and sustainability credentials.This role reports to the Director of Cask Operations and is responsible for driving health and safety (H&S), engineering, and environmental initiatives across 3 Sawmills (Lugo, Cantabria, Ohio), 3 cooperages, winemaking facilities, and bodegas across Jerez. Travel is required.The focus is managing H&S and engineering matters, ensuring compliance, overseeing projects, and collaborating with partners to uphold standards. Performing H&S and environmental risk assessments to identify compliance gaps and improvements.Proposing safety, quality, and efficiency enhancements across all activities.Managing internal and external H&S, environmental, and engineering projects.Ensuring compliance with regulations and implementing new requirements.Providing engineering expertise to improve operations and maintenance.Reporting incidents, conducting risk assessments, and managing KPIs.Leading EHSE functions, ensuring compliance with legislation, especially ATEX, machinery safety, and international standards.Your Talent And Skills
Applicants should have a background or degree in engineering and experience in EHSE roles within manufacturing or industry. Strong influencing, communication, and relationship-building skills are essential.
