About the Role
We are seeking a strategic and forward-thinking leader to drive the organic growth and digital authority of multiple Senior Living communities. This role goes beyond traditional SEO, focusing on how search engines and AI-powered generative platforms understand, trust, and recommend brands.
This position is results-driven and performance-oriented, with clear goals tied to measurable outcomes, while also emphasizing collaboration, long-term growth, and team development.
Key Responsibilities
SEO, AIO & GEO Strategy
Lead advanced SEO strategies for a multi-location Senior Living portfolio.
Develop entity-based and semantic SEO frameworks to ensure clarity and authority.
Optimize content and site structure for AI-driven and generative engines, including Google AI Overviews, Bing Copilot, ChatGPT, Gemini, and Perplexity.
Ensure brand and community consistency across all digital signals used by search engines and AI systems.
Content & Authority Strategy
Guide educational and editorial content strategy aligned with E-E-A-T (Experience, Expertise, Authority, Trust).
Ensure content answers real, intent-driven questions with depth, clarity, and empathy.
Position communities as trusted guides for families—not advertisers.
Digital Authority & Backlink Strategy
Design and execute high-quality backlink strategies to strengthen domain and entity authority.
Build and maintain relationships with relevant organizations, media outlets, and industry partners.
Lead ethical and strategic backlink acquisition through editorial collaborations, content partnerships, and evaluated paid opportunities.
Ensure all authority-building efforts support long-term SEO and GEO objectives.
Local Search & Search Experience (SEMO)
Oversee local search optimization across Google Business Profile, Bing Places, and related platforms.
Ensure accuracy and consistency across NAP, services, reviews, and community descriptions.
Understand how local and reputation signals influence both traditional and AI-driven discovery.
Cross-Channel Awareness (Paid & Programmatic Alignment)
Maintain awareness of paid media and programmatic environments to collaborate effectively with PPC teams.
Use insights from paid and programmatic campaigns to inform organic and GEO strategy.
Align organic and paid efforts without directly managing paid media execution.
Team Leadership & Development
Act as a mentor and strategic partner to the marketing team.
Support team growth through guidance, collaboration, and knowledge-sharing.
Foster a culture of accountability, curiosity, and continuous improvement.
Help elevate team performance through clear priorities and shared goals.
Performance Measurement & Results
Own and track performance based on clear, outcome-driven metrics, including but not limited to:
Organic visibility and qualified traffic growth
Local search presence and dominance
Brand and community authority signals
AI-driven discovery and visibility across generative platforms
Establish benchmarks, KPIs, and reporting frameworks to measure progress over time.
Translate performance data into actionable insights and strategic adjustments.
Operate with a strong focus on results, accountability, and continuous optimization.
3+ years of experience in advanced SEO and organic growth roles.Deep understanding of AIO and Generative Engine Optimization (GEO), with success evaluated through clear, outcome-based performance metrics.
Proven experience managing SEO strategies for multi-location or enterprise websites.
Strong understanding of technical SEO, local SEO, content strategy, and digital authority.
Professional fluency in English (written and spoken).
Preferred Qualifications: Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Google Tag Manager, Google Trends, SEMrush, and Ranki (or similar).
