We are seeking a talented Visual Effects Artist to join our art team. In this role, you will collaborate with the art director and art lead to create innovative visual effects that enhance our games. You will work with our proprietary engine, communicate with the technical team to develop VFX tools, and adapt effects for multiple mobile devices, ensuring optimization. Your work will span various styles, from stylized to photorealistic effects, depending on the project.
Responsibilities:
* Develop effects from R&D to final implementation in the game
* Maintain a consistent art style in collaboration with the lead artist and art director
* Work with the design team to prototype and implement visual feedback for gameplay mechanics
* Coordinate with art and animation teams to highlight key visual elements
* Optimize effects for mobile development
* Scripting of game engine events, VFX, and post-processing
Requirements:
* At least 2 years of experience in a similar role
* Knowledge of real-time VFX techniques in 3D game engines (Unreal, Unity, etc.)
* Experience with particle systems and VFX in 3D software (Maya, Blender, Houdini, 3DS Max)
* Understanding of industry-standard game engines and game development processes
* Ability to work creatively and accept feedback positively
* Willingness to work with proprietary tools and contribute to engine development
Preferred skills include experience with GLSL or HLSL, mobile game development, and animation.
