SEK International School - El Castillo: Computer Science and Design Technology Teacher
SEK International School – El Castillo is seeking a well-qualified, dynamic, and dedicated teacher to deliver Computer Science in the IB Diploma Programme and Design Technology in the IB Middle Years Programme.

Located about 20 km from downtown Madrid, SEK El Castillo is a co-educational, day and boarding, bilingual, and international school with approximately 1100 students. The student body is diverse, with 23% from over 50 nationalities. Teachers hail from Spain, the UK, Europe, Africa, and the Americas. The school has been an IB World School since 1977, offering PYP, MYP, and DP, and is accredited by NEASC and a member of the Council of International Schools. Job Objectives:
* Identify and promote core learning skills and teaching strategies in MYP. Plan and deliver accessible learning experiences in Computer Science and Design Technology.
* Support and enhance best practices through school-wide advice, training, and collaboration across the IB continuum.
Responsibilities:
* Plan, prepare, and deliver courses aligned with school curriculum, IB guidelines, and in English.
* Create engaging lesson plans utilizing diverse teaching models and relevant technology.
* Manage course provisions and resources for your subjects.
* Collaborate with colleagues to develop and revise curriculum, assessments, and reporting standards.
* Stay updated on developments in your subject area and teaching methodologies.
* Assess and monitor student progress through assignments, tests, and projects.
* Model inquiry-based learning and embody the IB learner profile.
* Differentiate instruction to meet diverse student needs.
* Maintain accurate records of student achievement and communicate progress to parents.
* Promote positive behavior aligned with IB and school policies.
* Create a safe, stimulating, and well-organized classroom environment.
* Support students academically and personally, including tutorship roles.
* Integrate ICT tools to enhance teaching and learning.
* Prepare students for external qualifications and exams.
* Participate in meetings, professional development, and school events.
* Contribute to school initiatives that promote school values, culture, and student leadership.

Minimum Requirements:
* Relevant university degree and teaching certification
* Proficiency in English (C2 or equivalent)
* EU Passport or valid work visa for the EU
* Open-mindedness and international outlook
* Ability to collaborate effectively in teams
* Strong communication skills based on respect and understanding
* Alignment with the school's mission and core values
* Experience in international schools and familiarity with MYP or DP
* Ability to teach Mathematics in MYP and Spanish language skills
